AMD Catalyst 12.4 WHQL – 7900 MOD

Some of you requested a 12.4 WHQL 7900 MOD so here it is. There are a few misconceptions about these drivers and I want to make sure you understand that these drivers won’t increase your card’s temperature, voltages and/or clocks; your card is still detected as *whatever card you actually have installed in the PCI-e slot* but Catalyst Control Center will apply/use the settings for a HD7900 Card.

I think it’s better for anyone that wants to test these drivers to install first the original, un-modded package just to see if there are any issues. If the original package gives you any kind of trouble then this modded version will do the same.

Windows XP users won’t be able to install these drivers through Catalyst Install Manager (CIM), they must install the display driver manually and then the rest of the package. I’ve added a video tutorial at the end of this page just in case someone needs it.

I highly recommend doing a driver sweep prior to installing this driver (or any AMD driver for that matter).
